Blood Bowl League - Season 1

Our local wargames club have started a Blood Bowl league using the new 2nd season edition Blood Bowl rules. The league consists of 8 teams:

Preliminary friendlies have started to be played and the leagues opening game.

My team, the Orkland Raidurz, will be the primary team I report on, with updates and summaries of the other league games.

The Orkland Raidurz have played to single half friendlies. The first against the Elder Suns and the second against the Gryphon Bloodsox. For the friendlies the Raidurz team was unchanged.

In the first friendly the Elder Suns scored an early touchdown, whilst the Orkland Raidurz scored on the very last play to tie the match 1-1.

In the second match, which became a veritable slug fest, the Gryphons ran out the eventual winners 1-0. The Bloodsox were down to 7 men at one point, whilst the Raidurz lost a Blitzer to a KIA but as this was a friendly was allowed to return for the league.

The league draft limit was set at 1,000,000 gold pieces.

I decided to amend my team for the first league game and settled for:

2 Bigun Blockers

4 Blitzers

1 Goblin

1 Untrained Troll

Having spent exactly 1,000,000 gold pieces, I would now be stuck with these players as the starting core of my team.

LEAGUE START

We lost the Elder Sun's Elf team, they were replaced by the Midshire Giants....a Halfling team.

The Miami Rotters became a Dwarf team! And the Cleaveland Bronze redefined to Chaos-Khorne.
